MCMINNVILLE MAN ARRESTED AFTER CRASH, CAR FIRE

A 19 year old McMinnville man has been arrested and charged after a fatal Friday motorocycle crash in Polk county and a stolen car fire in Rickreal. Brenden James DUCK has been charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide, Felony Hit & Run, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree and PCS Meth.

OSP LOOKS INTO STOLEN VEHICLE FIRE, FATAL MOTORCYCLE CRASH

Investigation continues into a motorocycle fatality and apparently related car fire in Rickreall.
Troopers were first called at 6:30am April 14th to highway 22 near milepost 14 due to a motorcycle crash, which claimed the life of 43 year old James Rudolph Osredkar from Sheridan. Shortly after troopers arrived, they learned of a car fire on Ford Street in Rickreall. The vehicle involved had been stolen from Lincoln City several days previous.
Troopers found evidence at the motorcycle crash related to the car fire.

HIGHWAY 18 NOW OPEN BETWEEN RICKREALL AND AMITY

April 16, 2017

ODOT: Valley, No. Coast: OR 99W is open between Rickreall and Amity. The road had been closed for over a week so a contractor working for the Oregon Department of Transportation could repair a failed culvert. Paving was completed today. Flaggers will remain at the site to slow traffic until guard rail can be installed. Travelers should be cautious and slow down through the area.

On Saturday, April 15, 2017 at approximately 3:20pm, OSP responded to the report of a two vehicle head-on motor vehicle crash on Hwy 18 near milepost 49. This location is just east of McMinnville in Yamhill County.
