MCMINNVILLE 5TH STREET UPDATE. TRAFFIC LIGHTS TO BE TURNED ON MAY 31ST


Phase 4 of the pavement reconstruction work on 5th Street, from Lafayette Avenue west to the railroad tracks, is scheduled for Monday, May 22nd through Friday, May 26th. The new traffic signals on 5th Street are scheduled to be
activated the evening of May 31st.


The final phase of the street reconstruction on 5th Street, between Lafayette Avenue and Irvine Street, will begin Monday, May 22nd and is expected to be complete on

Friday, May 26th. Motorists should expect road closures to through traffic on 5th Street between Lafayette Avenue and the railroad tracks during this time.
Traffic control signage and detour routes will be in place. Pedestrians and motorists are urged to use caution when using the corridor and obey traffic control devices and pedestrian detour routes for the safety of all.


The new traffic signals along the 5th Street corridor are scheduled to be activated on Wednesday, May 31st beginning at 7pm.
Short term lane restrictions will be required when activating the signals and signs warning motorists of traffic control revisions will be in place. All of the new traffic signals along the corridor are expected to be operational, and the signal at 4th & Adams removed, by 11pm
