SUPPORT IS COMING IN FOR AMITY FAMILY SURVIVING RV FIRE

Amity, November 16, 2017

The Yamhill County community is rallying to help a family who lost a mother and 8 year old daughter in a tragic RV fire. The mother, Honey Cosgrove went back into the burning motor home located south of Amity.

The Christian church at 1305 Goucher Street is taking item donations from 830am to 2pm Monday through Thursday. First federal has set up an account for monetary donations.
A candlelight vigil has been set up for Honey Cosgrove and 8eight year old Nevaeh Applegate for Saturday 7pm at City Park on Fifth Street. The public is invited to attend the community memorial service.
Apparently the girl went into the burning home to save a litter of puppies and her mother followed her in. Both perished in the fire. Four other children were able to escape the motorhome and survived.

Investigators say the fire was started by combustible materials placed too close to a heating source.
